Artist Feedback Forms
Tuesday 7 September 2010

News for artists: Here are the feedback forms for this year’s event.

They include:

  • Visitor feedback forms in Welsh and English to be completed by your visitors and returned to us.
  • Artist feedback forms in Welsh and English to be completed by you and returned to us (hardcopy or e-mail)
  • Overall visitor and sales log in Welsh and English to be completed by you and returned to us (hardcopy or e-mail)

You and your visitor need to fill EITHER the Welsh OR the English versions. All the forms print off better in landscape format.

We would really appreciate your cooperation with this. We realise it's a lot of paperwork, but it is the best way for us to monitor our progress and is essential information for our funders. Thanks for your help!

CELL: Film, Art and Performance Event
Wednesday 25 August 2010

Go to gaol, go directly to gaol . . . and be inspired as artists from Helfa Gelf and across north Wales create artworks to intrigue, enliven and entertain.

Ruthin Gaol, Nantclwyd y Dre, and Ruthin Craft Centre will be transformed over August Bank Holiday weekend as artists, musicians and performers create, install and intervene in the historic buildings.

Cell - a unique and free event - aims to give artists working in non-traditional artforms the chance to showcase their work from Saturday 28 August to Mon 30 August.

Pick up a special Cell admission token and more information at Studio 3 at the Craft Centre then let the art adventure begin.

Inspired by the gaol’s history, environment, cells and stories, artists Bernadette Rippon, Ed Wright, Femke Van Gent, Simon Proffitt, Megan Broadmeadow and Julia Peat will produce work with a twist.

At Nantclwyd y Dre, the oldest timbered house in Wales, Eleanor Brooks, Mandy Coates, Adrian Farley and Huw Davis will be working in this picturesque setting to create sculptural work in the stunning grounds and house.

While at nearby Ruthin Craft Centre film and video artists including Connie Middleman and Jessica Balla will screen experimental art films.

So, escape from the mundane and encounter the unexpected, contemplate the conceptual or just enjoy the show!

The event runs from 10-5pm daily.
